Its the most wonderful time of the year....

                 ~Back to Skool School!

Are you just a teensy bit sad? Nope? Me either. More to do, more to plan, more places I need to be I fear I will never make it on time to (school, work, home, Piano, life) might as well get my cape out now and see if it shrunk since last year. Cape's are good they're kinda once size covers fits all. So this year I vow not to let my son wear sweat pants everyday to school. Well let's just shoot for the first week of school and make a real attempt at picture day, even though there are twelve picture days in school each year now. Remember picture day? When you had one shot to do it right and it would make or break your entire life? I still cringe at the site of my 7th grade yearbook picture, a big Jimmy Fallon Eeeewww!

I picked out his new shoes this year mainly because he did not want to go shopping with me and he knew I would buy what I wanted him to wear anyway. Come to think of it I just might he grooming him to be just like his father when he grows up lets just end this here before I get any more panicked.       www.vans.com

Freaking fantastic!

I just bought the New Dirty Heads album on itunes and I gotta say LOVE IT. I just recently started listening to their music since they are touring with Pepper and I'll be seeing them in Baltimore this month. The "new sound" is so awesome and each song is so different. You know how some albums sound the same all the way through? This does not disappoint. My husband always says my music taste is so bi polar especially when I subject him to my itunes library on long road trips. Of course if it were up to him I'd have to pick out my fro and bust out the roller skates. http://www.dirtyheads.com/

Growing mushrooms at home easily part 3

SWIM TEAM So there's this going on...For the first 9 weeks of summer my life is committed to the Pool. We are here almost daily, morning practice, evening practice, peprally's, swim-a-thons and MEETS. Yes, we have two meets a week (if we're lucky we have 3) By the end of the season I start trying to avoid this place as much as possible but there are endless volunteer jobs and other activities that bring us here. Lessons did I mention the lessons too?  We've had a great learning season so far. Dane is swimming all 4 strokes legally this year and swims, back, breast & fly in the A meets and freestyle in the B meets. Each week he is improving time in his strokes and getting new personal best ribbons. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my self after the season is over. I've been running in so many directions these past few weeks I wont know what to do with all that free time.

Turmeric Paste with a dash of pepper, makes the CANCER go away

So this Golden wonder has made it's way into my kitchen and my bathroom(but more on that later). I've read a few articles and many user comments from people with stage 3 cancer to a lil rash on their tushy and this stuff is a wonder drug! One thing I did not know before I set out to make my very own Turmeric paste is the potent Curcumin that it contains needs a little help to stay in your body and do the right thing. Adding black pepper or Pepperin to it gives it a 2000% higher rate of sticking to your insides and doing a body good. I tried some this morning in my yogurt- lets just say I won't do that again. Why you ask? It's like eating sweet and sour together. Turmeric tastes a little tangy and a lot like mustard. So onto the bathroom thing-well lets just say if you have a rash, bite, burn, dry patch, Psoriasis, or even Hidradenitis suppurativa this stuff is helping people! Funny I was telling an Indian friend of mine this today and he said yeah my mom always gives us that stuff for everything-Is it a wonder India has one of the lowest Cancer rates in the World-and its been right under our nose all along! I'll be posting a quickie on YouTube on how to make the paste (do's & don'ts) believe me there's a few you REALLY need to know.

Ahhh the easy lasagna garden

The only thing about it that drives me nuts are the weeds. Trial & error my friends . I was so worried when I started that the lil itty bitty roots would suffer if I used too much newspaper. Silly girl the peas laughed at my ignorance when I (reluctantly) had to thin them... The roots were two feet long and oh it brought a tear to my eye. I hate thinning it makes me wanna cry.
On another note-we need rain! I feel so guilty using the hose to water. I can't let the lil babies die as soon as they come up so it's bitter sweet this season. As I blog it's raining and we just might get a couple inches in the next day or two. You'll have to pardon me I need to go change into my watusee voodoo rain dance costume just in case that comi of a weather man was wrong (did I say that outloud?)
